When you initially use your Ness Card for a purchase, you’ll see the transaction appear in your Activity tab with the label “Pending” displayed underneath the transaction amount.
Pending transactions are those that haven’t fully been processed yet. It takes time for all the various parties involved (Mastercard, the merchant, etc) to fully recognize the purchase. This generally takes between 1-5 business days, but in rare instances, it can take much longer. Once the transaction is fully recognized, it’s considered “settled.”
For settled transactions, you’ll see your points earned underneath the transaction amount as shown here:
Two more things to know about settled and pending transactions:
- Pending transactions impact your available credit (e.g. the amount you have to spend), but they are not reflected in your card balance. Your card balance only reflects settled transactions.
- You will not receive points for pending transactions. You’ll only see points for settled transactions.
